Post Production weaknesses

Technique 1:

0:29-0:31

In this scene, we attempted to overlap the audio so it sounded like the main character and her best friend were syncronishing and speaking at the same. However, after listening to project again the synchronisation seemed to be off timed and sounded awkward as the characters spoke after each other and not at the same time. This may seem awkward and unappealing to the listeners as it is a audible mistake.

Technique 2:

3:52-4:46

In our brief, we stated in the Radio Programme that we wanted the listeners to imagine our characters in different areas and we would show this by the background noise when the dramatisation being out. In this time-coded scene, we wanted it to appear like the two characters were hanging out after school in the part; however, the noise we captured on the day was too blustery and windy and the listeners could be confused on where they are. I believe we could have recorded this audio on another day where we could capture birds chirping or people in the background hanging out at the park so that the listeners could easily tell where the characters were.

Technique 3:

10:05- 10:26

In this scene, we wanted to gather interviews from different school students for a realistic approach on what they would do if they saw this girl struggling. However, the audio we captured wasn't of the best quality and it seems distracting compared to the rest of the Radio Programme. For example, background noise can be heard on one of the interviews and some of the interviews you can hear static in the background. To have resolved this and so it seems consistent with the rest of the interviews I believe that we could of got the interviewees into the studio to record their parts so it sounds clearer.
